THE BHS 59 70TH BIRTHDAY BASH

The Lodge at Geneva-on-the-Lake

"The magic first happened at the 50th Reunion. It happened again at Geneva on the Lake. I look at you and see you as you were. The years fall away and I see you through the eyes of my memories. As a group you are still as fresh, funny, gregarious, hilarious and enthusiastic as you ever were.

I enjoy your company perhaps more now than I did "back then". I miss those who could not attend. I grieve for those who are gone. I smile when I think of the one who put "the glow in my life.". And the one who remembers me as the " baritone voice".

I cannot lie to you. You cannot lie to me...not of our school days anyway! We cannot hide from each other. We were all there back then, for the tears, joys, broken hearts, celebrations, drama club, the choirs, the trips to New York, and the yearly ritual of a summer week at Geneva on the Lake.

Back then, in "59 it was those events that made us the "Class of 59". Now it's the 50th Reunion and the Birthday Bash on the Lake that make all of you "My Class of '59".

Not Ashamed To Say: "I love you all".

The Birthday Bash

A Birthday Bash is in our plan.

Geneva is the place.

We’ll be together, once again.

A smile on every face!

Our reunion was so much fun.

We want to keep it goin’.

At a 70th birthday bash,

Those smiles will be growin’.

We hope to see all our friends

When another year’s gone by.

You might not know for sure right now, but

We hope you're gonna try!

Our birthdays are sprinkled throughout the year;

Something’s become increasingly clear

As best wishes come on special days.

We’re not losing brain cells---we’re fighting back.

What a comfort it is, as I head to my B-Day,

69’s coming---just a stop on the way.

‘Cause the one after that is a humdinger---whoa…

Soon I’ll be heading for the BIG 7-0 !!
